Animation: Character Squish and Stretch

For the character animation we were tasked with adding body parts onto the Squish and stretch ball. This allowed us to practice animating additional parts and applying Squish and stretch to them as well. Character: Ears and Eyes Character: Tail and Eyes

Animation: Squish and Squash

For this class of animation, we were tasked with Bouncing a ball in four Different ways, three of where to do with wight and how to animate it. The fourth was using squish and squash one of the 12 principles of animation Bounce Balls The first three Balls that we animated where a Ping pong, Tennis, and Bawling Ball. This Task introduced us to wight and animating different objects depending on it. In the animation you can see that each ball has a different bounce to it, this is all dependant on their wight and hardness. For example, in the Bawling ball the wight and hardness made it bounce less, and the Ping Pong ball is light wight. Squish and Squash The fourth Animation involved squish and squash, one of the 12 principle to animation. This thought us about contrasting change in shape. This change in shape is in the form of a squish or a squash, this gives an object more life unlike a plain ball Bounce.

Animation: Morphing

For are first class of Animation we where tasked to Morph our face into food, animal and back into our face. For my animation I chose to Morph a potato, and pig into my face. This was my second attempt at animation, I found it quite challenging creating a fluid animation as especially with the limitation to the number of frames we needed to use.

What If? Metropolis: Reflection statement

Looking back at this project I would say with certainty that I am happy with the result. I would not say it was better then invisible city’s, as there is a lot of improvements, that need to be made in terms of my work ethics and quality control. I think I took a tremendous amount of time finalising my ideas on how to best approach my artist. Going back to what I said in my preview’s reflection statement, I still think time management has a big impact on this. However now I can see that work ethics and quality control are something I need to work on along side time management. I think If I considered this Factors in my preview’s reflection statement, I would have done a better job of presenting a more satisfying Concept art and Digital set. Even with this in mind I still consider the final result to be satisfactory within the short amount of time I had left. I think that I was able to learn a lot about digital painting and how I should best approach it, in future projects. When

What If? Metropolis: Lustria 3D SceneInvisible Cities Thumbnail's Fedora/Baucis

Here is an update on my What if? Metropolis 3D Scene, today I was able to finish my building, UV's. In the process I also did block colour, in order to test how my final scene could look like, for tomorrow I will be working on finishing off my textures and hopefully final render and working on fixing some of the lighting problems I have been having today. Scene Composition  UV Grid Block Colour For my lighting tests I attempted to fake the Street lights in my scene emitting light, by adding a Surface Shader and adjusting the emissions. I also adapted to use area light as a way of faking the light bouncing of another object. I am still working around this and adjusting them, as I’m not happy with the way they look currently. I also I'm trying on making the windows emitting  light as to make the city more vibrant and lively. Lighting Tests
