The Cabinet of Dr, Caligari Review

Comments

  1. Hey Katerin - all good interesting stuff in here.... but you've got no back-up! No supporting quotes (Star witnesses to help prove your points) etc. One of the guiding principles of your reviews is that you use supporting evidence etc because this gets you into the habit of reading and researching around your subject to ensure you a) know what's out there in support of your discussion and b) to trigger lines of enquiry you perhaps hadn't even considered. It's one of the things we need to get you doing quickly and with confidence, so let's see you working with evidence for your next review.

Also - I'd consider neutralising your blog template and going for something a bit more simple and clean: take a look at Karris' blog for example - clean, tidy, easy on the eye :)

  2. Hi Katerin,

Well done on getting your first review out there :)

Phil has beaten me to it - yes, you must read what other people have written about the films, and use some of their ideas to support your own discussion.
Also, if you are mentioning other films, you should also include the date they were made the first time you mention them (in brackets after the name of the film), and the names of the films should be in italics.

Looking forward to reading your next review!

From Script to Screen Mind map

Here my mind map ideas for the prompt words we received on Tuesday. The mind map contains prompt words that have something to do with the words or things that relate to that word. Some of them are more driven from the ideas I have had for a stories.
